The main reason you cant install 3/4 wood over particle board is because the particle board can not support it when it shifts and does not handle well when nailing into it. I think that as long as you could get most of the particle board up you should be in the clear with new plywood as your subfloor.
If you haven't bought the wood yet I would suggest an engineered hardwood floor ( not laminate) It can be installed over the particle board because you can buy them to float. They are still considered real hardwood and you can refinish them one time if you need to.
If you have to change to plywood getting it our fo the way as far as you can might work but I would test it by puting a couple of pieces of wood nailed down at the edge. My main concern is that it will not hold up aroung the edges when the house shifts, The particle board will Shift/Shrink/Swell at different levels than plywood will.
Good luck
Just found out the pipes at my parent's house burst. Water went through 2 floors! Eff!
they are difficult they do over do some things about it… but it will give you a good look.. i didnt take one home my best friend did but she is a really hard sleeper so i woke up with it every night and took care of it during the day.. its ok if you work well with little to no sleep.. and can stand a baby crying. it is a really good experience. if you do get one make sure your ready for it. and dont let other people mess with it. but remember you prolly dont wanna take it out with your friends stuff like that.
Red furniture
A dark blue or dark green carpet (shows less stains!)
Cream colored walls or even white to make it look open
good luck

some days it feels like all I do is teach people how to engage their pelvic floors. nutshell I get them to think about their crotch muscles.
I like lowes so much better than home depot?
Maybe paint the walls a very soft, pale, butter yellow & then accent the bathroom with either things (towels, shower curtain, knick-knacks, bath mat/rug, paintings/pictures, etc) in the purple family or in the red family. Those colors can be very striking with yellow. Try to make the yellow tile look deliberate, rather than something that you have to live with.
y is everyone saying this???? cheerz from Brazil
Seriously landlord? Hardwood floors ONLY in the bathroom?
comment fail
great now some dumasses will fire the workers and will use these scrap metals to do the work >:( especialy in restorants and bars. i prefer human energy insted of robot energy.. plus you wont waste any electricity.. which cost LOTS of money these days
This has been /.’d
Did you watch the whole video? or just the first 2 seconds?
lot of 62 new unused “Olympic White” subway tiles measuring 3″x6″. This quantity is about enough to cover 4′x4′ (?) of wall space. these are NOT from Home Depot, but would probably match them. they are from a store called Tile Decor (if you are looking to match them exactly).
RIP DJ Roomba
The easiest way is to get a Computer Science Engineering degree. I have no idea what your salary would be, but it's going to be a very good starting salary (upwards of $60k). Depending on what you want to do it will either take 4 years or longer. Obviously the more advanced degree you get the more advanced the stuff will be that you work with.
One possible way would be to fill them with wood putty and buy some wood scratch repair markers and try to mask the holes. Another would be to fill the holes with wood putty and completely refinish the floor. However, it sounds like you have so many holes that you would need to sand down the floors a good 1/4 inch to reduce the size of the holes first.
Well I have a Boston Terrior and it has a lot of hair that falls out and the Roomba cleans most of it up but doesnt pick up every hair piece becuase it is too short and too small so maybe thats why.
This video was a very helpful. A very good teacher as well.
Roomba has ruled the roost when it comes to domestic chores for a long time — too long. It’s getting some serious competition from Samsung, which is finally going to unleash one of its robovacs onto the rest of the world. Well, to Europe anyway. The Navibot is set to spread its wings across the EU in March, having been apparently warmly received in limited Italian tests last year. The bot captures 30fps video of your abode, documenting your feng shui and charting the most efficient course around your coffee table and the display case that houses your TMNT collection. It’s even sophisticated enough to pick up where it left off should it run out of juice mid-stride, after returning home for a recharge, but that kind of smarts will cost you: €399 for the basic model with a single virtual wall, and €499 for a slightly posher version with touch-sensitive buttons and a second virtual wall. There’s no word on an American release just yet, meaning Roomba’s home turf is safe — for now. Filed…
Yes, make sure your floors are level if they aren't they make a self leveling compound. Once this is finished make sure you use a moisture barrier over the concrete and then install the planks.

Item #: 236501 Model: FOM500
$53.57 ( 200 sq. ft. roll 48"W x 100'L)
EDITED: I don't think I would varnish the underside of the wood planks it might interfere with your warranty plus wood also has to breathe thats why you need the moisture barrier.
If you bought it new,it should have a manual that in the back they have a parts list where you can buy items and a contact number. They are also on line places where you can get that info

The carpet on the landing will drop down the riser of the top step, then be spaced around the walls, the same distance as the spacing on the stairs.
It will run flush to the riser of the next flight of steps, but the runner will follow the stair width.
Just as the steps are done, the edges must be turned and tacked, unless the runner edges are bound or serged. Serging is similar to a button hole stitch. Binding is more durable.
There are two methods of installing the runner on steps.
A waterfall method, where the runner is pulled down to valley of the riser just over the lip of the tread. This can leave a gap which can be seen from the sides if an open railing exists.
The other method is to "upholster" the treads by tucking the carpet under the nose of the tread, pulling it down flush to the riser and attaching it to the valley of the riser and the next tread. A much neater look, with no gap on the sides.
The labor on stairs may be computed per step and square yards. Most often a flat labor charge is made for a regular one flight of steps, about 12-13 steps. Approximately $100-150.
More for extra flights.
The landings are usually included, however they are done.
Runners or wall to wall are usually the same charge.
Approximately $150-250 flat labor. May be less or more.
Extra charges will apply for binding edges of the runnser, both sides.
Approximately $1.25-1.75 per lineal foot. May be less.
There are runners that are installed with brass bars. Those are very expensive. You will see those on some hotel stairs.

yes
you still leave the same 1/4" expansion gap on both sides of the transition strip track. The "T" molding will be sufficiently wide enough to cover the edges on both sides. Have fun
It depends on your flooring. If you have carpets, I highly recommend the Windsor Sensor XP 12:
Definately do research on trying to find the best price. You can find them at local janitorial supply companies. I use this vaccuum for my janitorial business and in my home before I put in laminate floors. It shifts on its own, is very quiet compared to others and has an awesome pull out hose with attachments for cleaning drapes and furniture. I love it!
For my house, now that I have laminate flooring, I just use a shopvac with a brush free floor nozzle attachment which makes cleaning the floors very very easy.
Also a note, I've had my vaccuum for 3 years and before it was mine, my mother had it for years. Still runs GREAT and has excellent suction as long as you replace the bag when needed (the vacuum also tells you when to do that).
Also forgot to mention that I have 3 cats (had 5 at one time when I had carpets) and the vacuum does a great job with that.
Microsoft’s MIX 10 Windows Phone app demos were highlighted by a robotic t-shirt cannon entirely controlled by a WP7S app, and the code monkeys behind the project are now back with a full breakdown of how things were achieved — the bot was built on a standard battle-bot chassis, which was then modded with the cannons and an HP Envy laptop for control purposes. Just to drill in the point about how familiar development for the new mobile OS will be, the MS guys point out that outsider assistance on the project was recruited under the pretext that what was being built were “out of the browser” Silverlight apps for the desktop. Very crafty. We’ve got video of the cannon in action waiting after the break, along with an image of the Phone controls. $8.00 Featured in the Environmentally Friendly Gift Guide and Etsy Finds. This is a reusable, eco-friendly and economically wise alternative to disposable covers for your floor sweeper. Crocheted from 100% cotton, this feels like a sweater for your Swiffer. This is soft, thick and sturdy. It’s also reversible! Easy to use… gently stretch the cover over the bottom of your sweeper and tuck each side into the end pockets. This is easy to put on and it stays put. Glide it over your bare floors like you normally would and let the ribbed texture pick up dust and hairs effortlessly. This reversible cover offers more uses between washes and a lot of bang for your buck. How much do you spend on boxes of disposable covers? This is a more economical choice. I love my sweeper but I hate running out of covers. Just one of these will last and last, but you’ll want two so that you have one available when the other is in the wash. Think about keeping one at the office or the classroom too. Keep one…
