I suffer from major depression and have a small case of OCD. My depression is partly genetic. It runs on my mother's side of the family and I also suffered from child abuse. Literally for decades, I resisted taking medication. I tried everything you can possibly think of in alternative medicine. Plus I meditate and exercise daily.
The depression never went away, and there finally came a time when I realized that I should give medication a try. I can't say that it has "cured" me, but it has improved my illness.
I attend a weekly support group for people with psychiatric disorders. I have met people with mild OCD and several people with severe OCD. My suggestion to you is to first have a consultation with a psychologist or psychotherapist well trained in OCD. If possible, you could even see several therapists to get a clear diagnosis. More important they can offer a treatment plan for your level of OCD.
I have heard that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) offers some relief for OCD (but not severe OCD). I am sure there are other therapies that work with OCD as well.
The reason I suggested seeing a psychologist first (before an MD) is that most MDs have a tendency to prescribe pills for almost everyone who walks into their office. That's the way they were trained and that's what most of them believe in. If you go straight to an MD, he/she will be very likely to give you medication—whether you need it or not.
So I think that finding out your options from a psychologist is the best idea. Maybe taking a small amount of meds now will prevent your symptoms from getting worse in the future. Maybe meds are not a good idea right now. I can't tell you what to do. Try to find a psychologist who has A LOT of expertise in OCD. Best wishes.

This is a Stainless Steel Provac Injector made by Glasweld Systems. Item is slightly used has no dents or broken parts. I have downsized my repair business and selling items that are not being used. These injectors sell for just under $600.00 at Glasweld.com. This particular injector top cap is very tight when installing it (To clarify threads are very tight). This has no effect on the the way the injector works, it works fine. It has been that way since I purchased it. Called Glasweld upon receipt and was told it was just the way the injector was machined. Start your own business repair wiindshield chips or add another injector to you existing business.
