Brilliant! I had no Idea!
I’m thinking a one size fit all gloves or something that can also be utilized as a surveillance robot in field. Which also gets controlled by an iPhone. That would be crazy stuff.
Dirt Devil- you will have to get on your hands and knees but it's great. I have tile so I understand about the sweeping and mopping it really sucks. I actually just got mine about two weeks ago and it rocks my world. Not too pricey either
Used our new VAX bagless vacuum cleaner for the 1st time. It's tiny and OMG going to have to redefine what clean is!
Im muslim and the jews got balls baby they raped the arabs all by themselves and yes they got help of western countries how abt arabs they got helped by the mighty Soviet union its just this arguement is weak very weak and you are very weak mujahidARAB. Go and delete yourself from the world u fan of al-bitches i could see that. If Arab countries are soo good why didnt they help other muslim countries with their wealth. BTW why bring SOmalia into Arab-Isreali conflict it has nothing to do with us
You should take off the old trim. You should have done this before you started the job. You can reuse the trim if it is not damaged as long as it matches the new flooring. Some people only use a small amount of glue on the trim so they can remove it. There is a 3" and a 4" available. When you take the old off, measure and see if you can use a 3" or a 4".
Here's to nice floors!
I just bought a reconditioned iRobot from Overstock.com and have hardwood floors….it's wonderful! I haven't noticed anything different about the floors except I hardly have to sweep them anymore!
I have an old Hoover and it's lasted many years. Maybe in part because I dont use it that often!
Here's a link or 2 or 3 that should give you some good answers to some of your questions:
Hope this helps… Enjoy your new floors!
I've chosen a name for my Roomba. The Rodger Young.
I don't believe the Roomba was designed to carry additional loads, but all engineered products do have a safety factor built in so no doubt it can carry some load. One has to assume they figured kids will sit on the thing, but that doesn't mean it will operate correctly with that kind of load, just that it won't be destroyed, if fact I'd suspect it is designed to turn off if overloaded, but that is just a guess. Personally, I wouldn't let the added load exceed the weight of the Roomba itself, and would try to keep it less than that

You can move it around, but it is a bit of a nuisance. If you can afford it, better to buy additional Roombas.
Did my house in tile, did not use backerboard, make sure to check that your slab is pretty level and if you have any cracks in the slab you need to purchase a rubber concrete filler ,this will keep the tile that is placed over the crack from breaking, Good luck and enjoy the floor you'll love it!
Nice presentation !
I really like the carpet with scotchguard on it that seems to work great. Best of Luck.
Thank-you. Hope it will be as simple as it appears to be in your tutorial!
Are you looking for hardwood or softwood furniture? The differences between them is clearly explained.
The Roomba adapter outputs 24 VDC 500 mA but it plugs into another intermediate box that has the plug with two outputs on it and actually plugs into the Roomba. That small box appears to further alter the voltage for the 14.4V battery.
If you're trying to go directly into the Roomba without going through their intermediate box, you should probably only use 15 VDC (or at most, 18 VDC, but go with 15 VDC first). 24 VDC direct might be too high and fry it. Only use 24 VDC if you've tried the others first and they didn't work at all. Also, if your adapter can't output 500 mA as a minimum, it might not hold the voltage you set it at and damage the equipment.
Note that it uses DC and not AC, so make sure your adapter is DC! If you're not sure, buy a Roomba adapter — it's cheaper than a new Roomba if you fry the old one…
We have one at home and I LOVE it!!!!! I think it does a great job and I also like the fact that it goes from carpet to hardwood floor w/o having to change the setting on it. Who has time to spend all day cleaning the house.Atleast w/ Roomba you can start it &and go do something else around the house. I would buy it for sure.
basically hack away. Nothing easier or less messy about it. haha..
Gotta love the way he sits on the Roomba, visiting the bathroom like he’s in a museum X-D.
Gym mats work great!!! I put gym mats on entire floor under a set of drums and it does help with reverb so Im sure it will help with happy feet
Oh, and I AM a girl and I am NOT pms’ing. (-;

This is off-topic, but I know a lot of you on the Budget Board have Roomba’s. Mine is just over a year old (out of warranty), and I’ve been having a problem for the last few days. When I start the Roomba, it will run for 2 or 3 minutes and then stop. When I hit the button to make it go again,…
I would take a photo of the original flooring, then search for a similar, coordinating flooring. It will be in the Master Bedroom, so really I don't see a problem with it, unless you want to get close to uniformity as possible.. The Master Bedroom is private, so try and get close to original as possible. Otherwise, if you use something different, use a throw/accent rug to lift the effect of the room color. The eyes will not be on the floor..
#2: GarageVac GH120-R Red Wall Mounted Garage Vacuum with Accessory

Good to know. Want to learn a little bit and was worried the techniques were outdated.
Change all the blocks to green smiley faces when you can only change certain ones at a time.

Use a angle grinder with a masonry cutting wheel. Have someone spray water on the wheel and tiles as you cut to keep the dust down.
Farm living on a dirt road means vacuuming everyday.
Without my Roomba I would be chained to a regular vacuum.
