Hardwood Floor Vacuum?

I have pergo floors and I have heard of the hardwood floor vacuum, and one that knows which ones are good? And I know there use to be one that would wash and vacuum, any one know what that one is called and what company?

I would purchase a canister type vacuum. You can’t use one with a beater bar…

you need to get a carpet sweeper, perhaps an older relative has one you could borrow , you can still by them . square shaped box type of thing with long handle . Yo push it back and forwards, has small brushes inside , not to good at explaining, anyway use this every day this will pick up most of the lint . and really you should´t hoover a new carpet straight away, well at least for a couple of days

Rent a sanders and completely sand the floor and then stain it. Or you could try buffing it out with a buffer. Both can be rented!!

Most of the time the smell is from the old bag. Try changing your bag even if it is not full yet…plus even the outer bag may need to be washed or changed. I have placed Bounce dryer sheets next to the inner and outer bag to help put out some fresher air.

I put bamboo flooring down in Nov. 2007, about 600 sq. ft. It scratches if you get sand under a chair leg. It is warmer than the tile that we had. Use "old English" on the scratches.

A mild soap and water mixture using a well wrung out damp cloth to clean, or murphy's oil soap (use sparingly). To get rid of the smell, you will just have to vacuum and wash the floors often, and clean your furniture if they get up on them. Be careful, if the puppy pee is left too long on the floor, it will penetrate and darken the floor meaning you will have to refinish it to rid it of the dark marks…try taking away the food and water shortly after supper time, and taking puppies out around 11pm or before bed for a long walk/play outside till they pee and poop..they should last till around 5 or 6am when you can get up and take them outside right away..they will get it.

I do repairs on gypcrete floors and use levelers up 3 inches in depth with no problems. Let it dry sand it, if needed and apply a finish skim coat.

I lived and worked in Fla for 15 years installing hardwood floors. It’s not really an issue unless you don’t use air conditioning.
Well I work in the contruction industry so maybe I can shed a little light here…no way it's been caused by settling…the house finished settling 45 years ago…You didn't tell me how far away that "huge" tree was away from your foundation, but if it was within 15 feet and you remeoved the stump and roots(which seems unlikley) you have definitley removed mass from underneath your concrete slab. I think however, more than likely an abundance of moisture has finally accumulated and worked on the basement slab enough to the point where parts of it affected mostly have finally shifted…You need to consult a very qualified structural contractor IMMEDIATLEY!!!…Good Luck…(it's going to be expensive…)

Floor time should be done every day for about 1 hour, now you say that they keep going to sleep, what time are you doing floor time? I would advise that you do it at dusk, this is because guinea pigs are crepuscular which means that they are most active at dawn and dusk.
Depending on the size of your cage will depend on how long you have to do floor time, if your cage just meets the minimum size then you will need a longer floor time then if your cage were to exceed the minimum size.

I'm pretty sure the "TV" effect you are referring to was achieved with complex projectors above. (I say this since it has been called a "light show"). Also, there seem to have been places built in where steam could be shot up (when the 'whales' were going across). My guess is that it's a hard, flat, white floor designed to be resistant to impact (so people could dance on it and so forth) and also be a good clear surface for projection.
Of course, it also has mechanical doors built into it for the Olympic Cauldron to come out of… and one of them didn't work. Haha. Oh well?

I have 2 cats and 3 dogs. I also have an older model Kirby and it works great. They are big and bulky but they do wonders. I got mine at a vacuum shop reconditioned for about 300 w/ all the attatchments and shampooer. Its a kirby g5.
