Are you talking about NiCD, NiMH, or Li-Ion batteries? Or are you talking about the so-called rechargeable alkaline batteries? I haven't heard anything but bad reviews about the rechargeable alkaline batteries. The other types, NiCD, NiMH, or Li-Ion would be fine. How long they last will depend on their capacity and the demand on them. You don't list either so it can't be determined how long they will last. Have at least 2 sets of batteries so you can have a charged set when the one in use goes dead. If your camera uses a standard size battery such as AA cells you probably won't be able to use Li-Ion cells.

Your camera does not have an optical viewfinder, so you will have to use strategies to turn off the battery-hungry LCD as quickly as possible.The longer you leave it on, the quicker the batteries will drain. If you don't have an optical viewfinder so you MUST use the monitor, set it to turn off after the minimum time offered, such as 5 or 10 seconds. Don't spend too much time reviewing your pictures on your camera. Save that for the computer when you can use a card reader and not drain your camera batteries.
Rechargeable batteries are certainly the best and you should buy the highest milliamp hour rated batteries you can find, like 2500 or better. If you do not use rechargeable batteries, get Energizer e² LITHIUM batteries (or the Duracell equivalent) and you will get much better battery performance. They cost twice as much as alkaline batteries, but they last four times as long.

Honestly I would think mixing hardwood flooring would be okay, but with them being right next to each other, I would look at the samples at the store right next to each other and see if you like it. Our flooring goes from a darker hardwood right into a tile and that seems to be okay. A lot of people are trying to incorporate so many different elements in their houses, so play around with it a bit.

You can extend the life of your batteries by 1) turning off the camera as soon as you have taken your shots, 2)avoid using the LCD to show your images to your friends, 3) using the flash sparingly and 4) remember that even using your cameras optical zoom uses up power
A fully charged battery is rated by how many shots it can take, not how long you can use it

My WiFi connection was obliterated by my cordless phone, until I changed the channel that my router used for WiFi.
If you are getting some interference try each of the different channels for your WiFi, that may fix your issue.
you can buy one with a battery or just get the charger, but if you're playing within 5 feet then I suggest just using a wired one. it has faster reaction speed and you don't need to keep getting new batteries/recharging
