1 (18 1/4 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
3 (1 1/2 ounce) chocolate-covered english toffee bars, coarsely chopped
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

1. Bake cake according to package directions for a 9×13 inch pan and cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
2. Make slits across the top of the cake, making sure not to go through to the bottom.
3. In a saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and caramel topping, stirring until smooth and blended.
4. Slowly pour over the warm cake, letting it sink into the slits; sprinkle the crushed chocolate toffee bars liberally across the entire cake while still warm.
5. Let cake cool in pan completely.
6. Top each slice with whipped topping, more chocolate toffee bar chunks, and swirls of carmel topping, if desired.
7. Refrigerate and serve right from the pan!

What kind of caramel are you using, if there is a lot of butter in it it's not meant to cover apples. Also, drizzle the chocolate on top, that way if it cracks, it's all part of the decor. Or use a cocoa butter instead of milk based chocolate, which is richer and more thick and smooth. Happy cooking!!

Ingredients for Vanilla Caramels
* 2 cups sugar
* ½ cup corn syrup
* ½ cup milk
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 4 tablespoons butter

1. Cook the ingredients, except the vanilla, to the firm ball stage, or 246 degrees F.
2. Remove from the fire, add the vanilla and pour into a buttered pan.

The properties of each type of canned milk make them such that you cannot substitute one for another. I accidentally used sweetened condensed milk in some fudge (I was using a new recipe and didn't read it closely) and it turned into a granulated mess. When I used evaporated milk like I was supposed to, the fudge turned out creamy and smooth.
Brown sugar is granulated sugar mixed with Molasses. It has a chewier texture when used for cooking than plain granulated sugar. It also tastes sweeter, since molasses is very sweet in comparison with regular sugar.

Since you mention mesh, I am thinking that is is part of the carpet padding that has chemically broken down over time. Padding is composed of all sorts of recycled material so the substance is hard to identify.
Here's a quick way to discover what kind of finish is on yours; get a cotton ball and immerse it in acetone. Rub the ball in a inconspicuous spot. Is the floor tacky to the touch? Does the cotton have a stain? Then your finish is lacquer, varnish, or shellac. Otherwise it's polyurethane.
Your best bet is to refinish the floors. Use a floor sander and finish with polyurethane. If you are not comfortable doing the job, call a specialist.
Oak has such a strong pattern that you're going to have to consider that for any flooring you are contemplating. I would avoid maple or anything clean and fine grained as the oak will just dominate it and it won't look right.
I work in a flooring store and answer this question alot in the course of my job so have had quite a bit of time to think about it. My suggestion would be to surrender to the oak and put in oak flooring. If you want to update the look, you could consider a hand scraped look and go lighter or darker than your existing honey oak cabinets. Dark hand scraped woods are very hot right now, you'll see them in all the design mags. For a dark floor, it's important that you have enough light and enough space to not create a "cave".
I tried crackers before getting out of bed, ginger ale or ginger flavored things and preggie pops. None of those worked for me. I found that the red and white round mint candies (the kind you get from restaurants after your meal and such) worked the best. It gave me a fresh taste in my mouth and the sugar/mint combo seemed to settle my tummy. I later noticed that really any hard candy helped- lifesavors, candy canes (i'm at 15 weeks now so christmas was in the yucky time for me) and lemon drops.

When my neighbor was hospitalized, I left his wife meals every day because I knew he did all of the cooking and she wouldn't eat well with him gone. My elderly neighbor has trouble bringing in and out her trash containers on our collection day, so we do it for her. We pick up the flyers and newspapers left on doors and drives for our neighbors who we know are on vacation. We bake and make healthy treats for our canine friends in the neighborhood and leave them in decorative containers on their porches. I grow succulents and orchids which vastly over produce babies which I plant and leave for my neighbors on their porches. I also over produce tomatoes, peppers and herbs. I make sauce, salsa and dry the herbs again leaving them for the neighbors when I do.
So we got new hardwood flooring. And I just ate shit! Lmao. No joke.

Here are some of my thoughts as a pro-choice individual that supports abortion rights.
It's not hard to justify an abortion when you're educated on pregnancy development and abortion procedures. Despite what many like to claim, a fetus or embryo is not a baby. And abortion is not murder, since you can't kill something that has not been born. Sure, an embryo is alive, but so are my houseplants and so are the organisms in yogurt, but no one screams murder when I eat yogurt. An embryo is completely insignificant. It has no thought or feelings and definitely shouldn't trump the rights of a living, breathing human being. It is insulting to women to say a ball of insignificant cells deserves more rights than we do.
I had an abortion at 5 weeks gestation. The embryo I aborted was about the size of a sesame seed and looked like a very tiny seahorse. I know what I did, and I know I didn't do anything wrong. It was an unplanned pregnancy, and given my situation at the time it would not have been fair to me to continue the pregnancy and allow it to develop into an unwanted child I would not be capable of caring for. I did the responsible thing.
What I don't understand is how anyone can oppose abortion, I have yet to hear a reasonable, factual supporting statement. I can only conclude people reach a pro-life stance through misinformation and/or ignorance. An embryo is not a child, and abortion is not murder, simple as that. To not support a woman's choice is to not support women's rights. A pro-life stance is offensive to women who would like to think you consider them a little more valuable than a blastocyst. Taking away a woman's choice causes immense harm to women and children. Women either become forced to continue a pregnancy against their will, the equivalent of rape, or to acquire an abortion illegally putting their health and lives at risk. If they're forced to continue an unwanted pregnancy you end out with an unwanted child who could very well face an unstable life of neglect and abuse. I value the lives of women and children, not those of embryos. I just see it as having my priorities straight.
You will need to know the difference between pro-choice and pro-abortion. Pro-choice is limited to the belief abortion is a woman's choice, but doesn't necessarily mean someone agrees with aboriton. A pro-abortion individual both supports abortion and women's right to choose.
